Founded in 1988, Mustek, Inc. has become a world-wide leader in the development, manufacturing and distributing of imaging devices. Mustek, which stands for "Most Unique Sensible Technology," plans on becoming the complete digital imaging solution company of the future and a strong contender in the computer products industry.

Starting with hand-held scanners, Mustek established itself as a leader of the scanning industry. Within a short period of time, Mustek had moved on to flatbed scanners, sheetfed scanners and digital cameras. The Mustek brand name now has international recognition for affordable, high-quality scanning solutions.

In the field of flatbed scanners, Mustek has moved ahead with innovative designs such as 36-bit true color scanners, large-format 11.7" x 17" A3 scanners and enhanced parallel port (EPP) scanners. With each of these products, Mustek has maintained competitive pricing to meet the needs of a growing digital imaging market.

Located in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan, Mustek's manufacturing facilities are world leaders (by volume) of scanner production. Coupled with a second manufacturing facility in China, as well as offices in Germany and the United States, Mustek remains committed to easy-to-use, affordable digital imaging while exploring the growing needs of computer users.

Like a growing family, Mustek USA has expanded over the years to keep up with its parent company. What began as a handful of employees has grown into a company of over 100, handling technical support, product testing, warranty replacement, administration, warehousing, distribution, sales and marketing for the United States, Canada, Mexico and parts of South America.

In September 2009, Mustek moved to a new location in Tustin California.

The Dow facility, near central Orange Cunty off the 5 freeway, has allowed Mustek to better serve customers and take advantage of the rebounding Southern California economic environment.
